Many persons are under the mistaken impression that medical and/or mental health impairments are the only thing that the Social Security Administration looks at in a disability claim. For some individuals that is enough but for many of my clients there is much more that goes into the decision. Age can be a huge factor if you don’t meet the medical criteria in the regulations but are not able to return to any of the jobs you have done in the past 15 years. The older the better. Especially if you are over 55.
