“One Love”? Not for this guy’s family.
.
.
At the time of his death, Bob Marley’s estate was estimated at $30 million…and that number keeps climbing due to his various income ventures.
.
.
But because of his religion, he did not have a will.
So, what resulted?
.
.
30 years of legal battles between 11 kids, 7 mothers, and 21 ex-band members. Yikes!!
.
Because he didn’t have a will, his estate went to the state and the state split it between all the kids and the mothers…in a way that the family members obviously DID NOT agree with.
.
.
Marley’s choice to not have a will was a conscious one, but for many, it’s due to procrastination or avoidance.
Protect your family from future feuds like this one, and get your estate planning done.
